Our Story

In 2011, our founder and president, Meagan Tuck, was asked to form a group of Christmas carolers to sing daily at the Toronto Christmas Market in the Distillery District in Toronto. At that time, she invited a handful of talented friends and peers to learn 8-10 Christmas songs to sing for the 2-week Christmas Market. The name seemed obvious - who doesn’t love good alliteration? As the Toronto Christmas Market grew, so did the opportunities. The following Christmas, the Candy Cane Carolers were invited to sing for the Canadian Olympic Committee and the vision for the Candy Cane Carolers grew: a high quality, family-friendly group of singers available to perform for Christmas and holiday events across the GTA. Year after year, the ranks of carolers grew, as well as our repertoire - tossing songs that didn’t meet the high standards of our group and clients and increasing the number of foot tapping, soul nourishing and danceable Christmas songs that just hit the spot. We have sung at holiday events big and small, indoors and out, early and late for 11 years now, entertaining people of all ages from every walk of life. Over the years we have sung on TV shows, on the radio, and we were even invited to perform in 2 Netflix Christmas movies: Christmas Inheritance and The Holiday Calendar. We have worked as singing brand ambassadors for companies such as Hunter and Coach and we have remained the resident carolers at the Toronto Christmas Market (now Distillery Winter Village) - the place we call ‘home’. We have many long-standing relationships with clients who invite us back year after year. The best part of all of these opportunities has been the honour and the privilege of sharing the joy of Christmas with those we meet. Thank you.

What We Offer

When you hire the Candy Cane Carolers for your event, you get a group of enthusiastic professional performers dressed in beautiful Christmas caroler costumes. Our carolers undergo a rigorous selection and rehearsal process to ensure we are offering our clients the best of the best. Each group includes four voices bringing you rich and dynamic arrangements of popular Christmas songs.

Our Music

Our repertoire of music is so large that we can work with you to select the perfect balance of songs to meet your vision for your event, or you can leave the music selection in the very capable hands of our carolers, who are experts at selecting the right songs for the right crowd.

Engagement Length

We have a 1-hour minimum engagement length for events that are in the downtown Toronto city core.

For events outside of the Toronto city centre, a minimum of 2 hours is required.

We do not book engagements longer than 3 hours, as this is a strain on our singers’ voices.

Performance Style

We are flexible on performance style. We are happy to greet guests as they arrive, roam around your event singing for smaller groups, and performing on stage. Whatever your vision, we are happy to make it work.

At this time we are not offering virtual concerts.

Equipment Requirements

We do not require any equipment unless we are performing on a stage, or need to be heard across a large area. Stage performances require a PA system and 4 microphones, to be provided by the client. A private space to leave our personal belongings is always appreciated.
